Sung with passion and power by internationally acclaimed vocalist Sanjoy Banerjee and accompanied by tabla maestro Hindole Majumdar and harmonium maestro Sanatan Goswami, this is an album to remember, study, and cherish. Recorded in Kolkata, India to exacting audiophile standards and featuring an O-card with stunning artwork by Cynthia Hayes.

This Compact Disc is a deluxe limited-edition release of only 950 copies available worldwide. Purchasing this CD online will be your only opportunity to obtain this album unless you happen to see the performer perform live and purchase it directly from him. There will never be a second edition and it will never be reissued as a CD or be offered for sale as digital-only.

Marion Street Records is not your typical record label. We are dedicated to only selling deluxe limited edition physical copies of music you will love owning and listening to. Our CDs, cassettes, and LPs will never be available on streaming services, except for the Bandcamp app and then only for those who first purchase the actual physical product while physical copies are still available.

We do not believe in the practice of selling digital copies of albums without a corresponding physical sale. This practice has helped bankrupt independent record labels and forces talented musicians to accept only a few pennies per digital sale. The end result of this path will be the diminishment of our musical culture and shared human heritage.

Instead, MSR offers deluxe limited editions of physical media and utilizes a unique and open compensation arrangement. In essence, we pay all the expenses of recording and manufacture and then divide the limited edition copies between the artists and ourselves. End of story. This way there is no need for royalties or royalty statements, and artists know in advance exactly what they are going to earn from the sale of their copies of the album. Needless to say, this places the entire financial risk of each album on our shoulders -- and we are proud of this arrangement.

Unfortunately, Bandcamp at this time insists we list an option to purchase a download-only version of the album. There is no way around this when using their software and website. That is why we have priced a digital download at $1000.00 -- it's the only possible solution at this time. We hope you understand.

Here's the good news -- If you would really, really, really like a digital download, please simply purchase a physical CD. Then you will not only be in possession of a stunningly beautiful object, you will also be able to download the digital album from Bandcamp and also stream the album whenever you want using the Bandcamp app (which is a wonderful app, by the way).
